This was the 1st log home we've done since the passing of my partner who owned Appalachian Log Works so it was very important to me that we got this perfect and I couldn't be happier with the results. Apon arrival I noticed it's been a while since this home had some proper tlc so we started of with a full Tri Sodium Phosphate wash. We used over 700' of ¾" poly backer rod to fill all the gaps and just a little under 15 gallons of caulking most window frames needed to be rehung and sealed along with all the doors and corner molding. Trying to match the stain on this house was no easy task bc it was 3 colors from brown to redish to faded but the fellas at transition stain hooked us up with a product that really made this log home pop and stand out.
