1860’s Stone Foundation Full Transformation

This stone foundation was set in the 1860s making it one of the oldest foundations we have ever rehabilitated . 160 years later, this building finally has a new concrete floor. We dug the floors down from 5.5' - 7.5, and added new support columns with a full water proofing system, knee walls, and a brand new concrete floor. We cleaned and repointed all the stone and build a fresh set of steps.

We took this home owners basement floor from 8’ to 7'. In 12 days we dug up 54 dump truck loads of shale stone and poured 16 yards of new 12" thick steel reinforced concrete walls. We added 5: 18k pound post Jacks to help reinforce his floor at no additional cost to the home owner. This added just a little over 500sq feet of additional space in his basement.
